I think the title could be referring to the cityscape. Since it was once a glorious metropolis - and was effectively bulldozed to bring in that mechanical plateau - she must feel great pain for having lost her home to that monstrosity.

Although, if you looked at it, I suppose it could almost be beautiful, depending on the lighting. The city lights and glow is really quite pretty. Y'know, if it wasn't a smog-chugging, oil drenched sewer plant. Imagine where all that backwater waste must go.
